
BORROWING STARCH FROM THE NEIGHBOR?
Somebody needed to thicken their gravy… a baggie of white powder found in Arlington and reported to the Washington County Sheriff’s office, ended up being starch.
Also on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s activity summary for this past week, several accidents and vehicles in ditches due to winter weather. A brush fire reported at 3am in the 1500 block of Highway 31 was handled by the Kennard Volunteer Fire department with deputies providing traffic control.
Yesterday evening two women were going door to door in Fort Calhoun, saying they were from Omaha Public Power District. OPPD said they had no personnel in the area.
A structure fire in the 12 thousand block of County Road 9 was handled by Arlington and Nickerson fire departments, deputies were on hand to provide traffic control. A one vehicle rollover reported at County Road 38 and Dale Lane, and among the many other activities on that report, deputies were part of the send off for the Arlington High School Wrestlers for State competition which is underway now.
