A man was arrested late yesterday evening at Highway 75 and County Road p-35 on a federal warrant. Other arrests on the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary include a drunk driving arrest after a single vehicle accident at County Roads p-14 and 35, a traffic stop for speeding at County Roads P-40 and P-51 ends in the arrest of a 32-year-old man on a Stanton County warrant, and the arrest of a 40-year-old man for felony driving under revocation at highway 30 and Pleasant Valley Boulevard.
Other incidents on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s report include a single vehicle accident at County Roads p-39 and p-36 in which four passengers left the scene of the accident, two of them showing up at the Emergency Room of Blair’s Hospital.
A group of about a dozen motorcyclists were reported to be racing in the 9300 block of County Road p-35, one lost control and went into a ditch. Neighbors started taking pictures and the group along with the injured rider left the scene in a hurry.
Those are just some of the matters handled by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office over the weekend.
