Prelim Totals For Washington Co. Gives

More than last year’s donations – the Washington County Gives event earlier this week netted over 115 thousand dollars for area non-profit groups. Last year’s amount was 109 thousand according to organizers Ryan Palmer and Jordan Rishel. The first Washington County Gives event five years ago raised 30 thousand dollars. Palmer, Rishel and others involved in the effort say there will be a sixth event next fall, and that they appreciate the strong spirit of generosity found in Washington County. Among the groups benefiting from Washington County Gives – The Washington County Food Pantry, Roots to Wings, The Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter, Generations Park, and Blair Radio 94.7 fm.
