Mrs. Mary Johnson, mother of Blair Radio’s Kelly Johnson, passed away December 2nd.. She is survived by her sons and their families. A memorial service is planned Thursday, December 19th at 1pm at Fremont Alliance Church.


25 year old Bret Beebe of Blair passed away December 5th. He was a Blair High School graduate and had worked at Jakes. He is survived by his parents Kim and Mike Beebe, siblings Ashlie Socha and Thomas Beebee, grandmothers Judy Ipson and Roa Beebe and other family members. Visitation is Friday 11 am to 1pm, the funeral follows at 1, both at Relevant Community Church in Elkhorn.

74 year old Rockford Shanks of Blair died December 7th. He is survived by his wife, Mary, daughters anna Christensen and Katie McIntosh and their families. A private family service will be held at a later date according to Campbell Aman


93 year old Patty Farrens Hancock of Blair, formerly of Herman and Tekamah, died December 4th. She is survived by her children, Jackie Sterns, Joyce Top, Jeff Hancock and Sharon Hancock and their families. Services will be at a later date.


58 year old Dale Boyce of Herman died December 3rd. Services are pending a Campbell Aman.

57 year old Kenny Gute of Modale died December 7t. Visitation is Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 the funeral is Thursday, 10:30 Both at Hennessey.


47 year old Sherman “Tony” Girton of Missouri Valley passed away recently. Visitation is 11am Saturday, December 14th, the Celebration of Life follows at noon, both at Hennessey Funeral Home in Missouri Valley.


71 year old Carla Rennerfeldt Hart of Tekamah passed away December 3rd. She served 41 years as a Public Safety Telecommunicator for the Burt County Sheriff’s Office. She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Tara Hart and Andrea Kerwood, and other family members. Visitation is Monday, December 16th from 5 to 7pm, the memorial service is Tuesday, December 17th, at 11am, both at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Tekamah.

89 year old LeRoy Pendly of Fremont, formerly of Arlington, passed away December 6th. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Plugge Pendley, children David, Darin, Kellie Sandoval, Jackie Paugles, Nathan Plugge, and Kristen Matteo, as well as his sister Carol Walker and their families. Visitation is Wednesday morning at 9:30, the funeral follows at 10:30, both at Saint Paul’s Lutheran of Arlington.
