DONATIONS REQUESTED AT BLAIR ANIMAL SHELTER
HOLD ON CAT ADOPTIONS, DONATIONS REQUESTED AT BLAIR ANIMAL SHELTER DUE TO FELINE RESPIRATORY ILLNESS
A feline respiratory virus is confirmed in the cat population at the Jeanette Hunt Animal shelter, and the cat room is closed. Adoptions have ceased until the virus is under control. The shelter, however, is in need, not just of the usual day to day requests for cat food and litter, but of hand soap, clorox wipes, brooms and dust pans, litter scoopers, humidifiers and vaporizers and kitten milk replacement.
The shelter says, however, that the dog population is unaffected and adoptions are continuing. More details are on the Jeanette Hunt Animal Shelter facebook page.
