MENTAL HEALTH CRISIS, SCAM ON HARRISON COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT

   

Personnel with the hospital in Missouri Valley contacted the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office regarding an assault in Logan, after an investigation, a Logan man was arrested for an assault violation.

    

Other matters on Sheriff Brandon Doiel’s most recent activity summary include a call regarding animal neglect for cattle near 335th Street, the cattle were observed to be healthy – it was discovered that this is part of an on-going property dispute regarding the settlement of a family estate.

  

Also on that report, two members of the sheriff’s office assisted Logan Rescue with a combative person in Logan- it was determined that the person was having a mental health crisis and transported to the hospital for an evaluation. Additionally, a person hiding in a ditch near Loess Hills Trail and 270th street was also having a mental health crisis and was taken to the hospital.

   

A resident on Merrick Place contacted the sheriff’s office about a call in which it was purported that a family member was involved in an accident with Omaha Police. This was found to be false and an attempt at a scam
