EXTREME SPEEDERS, UNLICENSED DAYCARE ON WASHINGTON COUNTY SHERIFF'S REPORT


A 19-year-old driver was stopped at County Road p-43 and Highway 75 yesterday evening for a zero tolerance violation and minor in possession according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Activity Summary for November 27th through this morning.

An unlicensed daycare in the 4600 Block of Caley Avenue was reported by the Department of Health and Human Services to the sheriff’s office. Deputies contacted parents to pick up their children and the owner was cited.

A pickup was found rolled over in a ditch at Highway 133 and County Road p-38 just after Midnight Thursday, the driver was not in the vehicle. With the help of the Omaha Police Helicopter, the driver was located several hundred yards away sitting under a tree on Tea Party Lane. The incident is suspected to be a DUI.

A two vehicle head-on collision Wednesday morning on Highway 75 at County Road 30, no injuries are indicated.

Also on Sheriff Mike Robinson’s report, two incidents of people speeding through Fort Calhoun - one, a 29 year old woman was arrested for DUI after driving 60 miles per hour through the town, which has a 25 mile per hour limit. The second speeder, earlier in the week, was caught just south of town going 107 miles per hour. Those are just a few of the matters handled by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office this past week.
