A special election tomorrow for Fort Calhoun voters – whether to approve or negate an Economic Development Plan which would cost $43,800 per year over the next ten years.
The funds would come from a one and a half percent city sales tax and from bonds.
If approved, the effort is aimed at generating additional employment opportunities, recruiting new business and retaining existing business, revitalize the downtown Fort Calhoun area and assist in housing development.
That ballot can be mailed or dropped off in person at the County Clerk’s office by 5pm Tuesday.
