A History Talk with Donna Henton is this coming Monday, November 11th at the Blair Public Library at 7pm. Mrs. Henton will be discussing the Railroad Bridge and much more. Everyone is welcome and it is free admission.
An anti-bullying presentation by the Blair Community Schools is this coming Tuesday, November 12th from 6:30 to 8pm at the Blair High School Auditorium. All parents are invited. Earlier that day there will be assemblies for students in 9th through 12th grades, teachers, staff and administrators. Another session will be Wednesday, November 13th for Otte Middle School. Applications for the Shop with a Cop program with the Blair FOP are available online at the FOP Facebook page or can be picked up at the police station. Those applications are due November 22nd.
Nailed It – a cake decorating competition is Saturday morning November 23rd from 10 to 11:30 at the Blair Public Library. This is for those aged 18 and up . You can register in person or by calling the Library at 402-426-3617
Veterans Day is this coming Monday, November 11th, an Honoring Our Veteran’s Potluck is this Sunday, November 10th from 5 to 10 pm at the Persia Fire Hall. Turkey and Ham will be provided by the Legion
Blair’s American Legion is hosting a Veterans program and Soup Luncheon this Monday. The program starts at 11:30, with free soup for Veterans to follow. That’s that the Hain-Flynn American Legion in Blair.
Missouri Valley Community Schools Veterans Day Program Monday starts at 10:30 in the Mo Valley High School gym. Refreshments will follow in the media center.
As deer season commences, the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission encourages hunters to bring their harvested deer to in-person check stations to test for chronic wasting disease. Sampling will be free for the first 300 deer per station. More details and a list of those stations can be found online at outdoornebraska.com
