HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING IN OUR AREA…


First Lutheran and Family Fare are having a drive this Saturday from 9 til noon to collect donations for the Washington County Food Pantry


The Heavenly Hens and the Washington County Ministerial Association are sponsoring the Love Your Neighbor Concert on Sunday, February 23rd, 2pm at the Kennard Grace United Methodist Church. The concert is free, though donations will be accepted and used for local needs


An important feature for our listeners that live in Iowa. The Iowa Poison Control Center has added a Poison Help Number – it’s free and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That number is 1-800-222-1222.


The Blair Sons of the American Legion Squadron 154 is having their annual Wild Game Feed, Friday, February 21st from 5:30 to 8pm at the Fort Calhoun Catholic Church Social Hall. Cost is 25 dollars for those over the age of 21, 15 dollars for those 13 to 20, kids under 12 are free. Tickets are available at the door. Proceeds from the Wild Game Feed go towards helping Veterans Programs.


The Relay for Life of Washington County’s Daffodil Days is coming up – Daffodil bunches and potted mini daffodils will be available. You can find more information on the Relay For Life of Washington County’s social media. The deadline to order is February 12th.

The Herman Fire and Rescue Department is having Biscuits and Gravy this coming Sunday from 7 to 11 – eggs, coffee and orange juice round out the menu in this fundraising breakfast – a free will donation will be accepted.
