The Logan Community Foundation is asking for nominations for Educator of the Year, First Responder of the Year, Volunteer of the Year and Business of the Year. Send your nominations to Logan Community Foundation@gmail.com. Nominations are accepted until January 15th.
The Justin Robinson Family lost their home to fire on Christmas day. Their house is considered a total loss and some of the family’s pets were killed. A go fund me account has been established to help the family
The Nebraska Extension is offering a course on test preparation for the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge exam – which is one of the requirements for commercial drone operations. That course is Monday, January 13th. There is a cost and pre-registration is required by January 6th. This will be held at the Dodge County Extension in Fremont. Contact dirk.charlson@unl.edu.
An anonymous survey by the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging – to determine if there is a need for low cost healthy lunches for those in the area aged 60 and older. Those surveys can be done through a QR code, through a link or a paper questionnaire. More information can be found on the Blair Radio Facebook Page.
Just a reminder – the Drive Sober or get Pulled Over nationwide roadway safety campaign is underway now through January 1st. The Nebraska State Patrol and Washington County are among the agencies participating, you’re advised to use a designated driver, uber or taxi if you plan to celebrate the new years with intoxicating substances.
