“Big Questions and Innovative Solutions in Land Management” - a free workshop for farm and land owners and tenants for managing or leasing land is January 9th, 1-4pm at the Nebraska Extension in Washington County – 597 Grant Street, Suite 200. Refreshments will be provided by Farmers National Company. Though the event is free, registration is required – call the Nebraska Extension in Washington County – at 402-426-9455 the deadline to register is January 8th.
The Washington County Chamber of Commerce Residential and Business Holiday Decorating Contest is open now. Send your photos to events@WashingtonCountyChamberNE.com, those pictures will be displayed on the chamber’s Facebook page and the public will vote to decide the winners.
A holiday story time is next Thursday, December 19th, 6:30 at the Blair Public Library. Songs, stories, crafts and snacks will be provided, it is free and the public is encouraged to attend.
A low cost spay and neuter clinic for cats is January 8th at the Harrison County Humane Society – for pets of Harrison County residents. 25 spots are available, a limit of 5 cats per household at 50 dollars per cat. Details at the Harrison County Humane Society’s Facebook page.
