Area 9/11 Commemorations

This Saturday marks 20 years since the attack on the World Trade Center by terrorists and the deaths of thousands of people. Many commemorations are planned throughout the area. One, the dedication of the Harrison County Freedom Rock, 10 a.m. at the Historical Village at 2931 Monroe Avenue in Missouri Valley, the area adjacent to the Welcome Center on Highway 30 between Mo Valley and Logan.


Bennington’s Fire and Rescue Department will have on display an artifact from the Twin Towers, at the firehouse Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.


Blair’s VFW post 1251 is hosting the Nebraska Memorial display, opening today and running through September 12th. There is no admission fee.
