Arlington Practice Burns

Flood Damaged Homes Will Aid in Firefighter Training

You could be seeing smoke coming from the Arlington area over the next two weekends. Plans are to use two flood damaged homes there for practice burns for the Arlington Fire Department according to Washington County Emergency Management Director Dan Douglas. He gave an update on flood damage and repairs to the Washington County Board of Supervisors at the meeting Monday. Parts of Arlington will be cordoned off from traffic during those practice burns.
