Sirens sounded this morning for volunteer firefighters from Blair and Fort Calhoun to put out a semi-trailer on fire at the Dollar General Distribution center.     That fire trailer full of paper goods was extinguished, no injures were indicated. Law enforcement provided traffic control for the incident.

82 year old Leota Miller Wiese Cowan of Blair passed away February 4th. She was an area floral designer. She is survived by her brothers, Leslie Miller and George, her children, Jay Cowan, Chet Wiese, Christian Cowan and Vickie Lewis and their families.
