Memorial Community Hospital is celebrating 70 years of serving Blair and the surrounding area with a Community Birthday Party on Tuesday, September 29th from 4:30 – 7 pm. This will be held in the parking lot with family friendly activities, games for all ages, live music, local food trucks and so much more. The first 100 attendees will receive a free meal ticket! It was a busy weekend for the Blair Volunteer Fire Department, with 10 calls for service from Friday through Sunday, including multiple overlapping emergencies that required assistance from several of our neighboring departments. Friday had 6 calls including a Possible Structure Fire that brought in assistance from Fort Calhoun Fire and Rescue, Kennard Fire Rescue, Herman Fire Department, Missouri Valley Fire Department, Ponca Hills Volunteer Fire Department, and Irvington Vo

Missouri Valley posted a special note regarding Hydrant Flushing. Weather permitting, hydrants will be flushed beginning this week.
