Blair Volunteer Fire & Rescue advises that the Blair and Herman Fire Departments will be conducting live fire training in the area off South Highway 30, behind Woodhouse and Sid Dillon. Dr. Bernie Mattheis, Professor Emeritus of Dana College, passed away on Tuesday, July 21st. He taught at Dana for 36 years. Many of those years, he led the Education Department as its chair.
